● Pro bono effort to support the City of Willoughby’s initiative to rebrand its historic downtown as an Arts, Entertainment, and Cultural District
● Part of a larger regional trail planning effort
● Amphitheater: $3.5 million
● River Trail $1.8 million
● Glenridge Commercial Development: $45 million
The Magic Mile riverfront amphitheater and trail is a part of a broader economic development initiative that includes the Glenridge commercial development. Both projects, when combined, will be transformational for the city. Greenland was an integral part in securing $600,000 in State of Ohio capital grant funding for the amphitheater and trail based on their cultural and economic benefits. The Glenridge project will be a public private partnership that will see the City release property to a developer to create additional parking, housing, and retail adjacent to the historic downtown. A larger regional planning effort includes creating a trail from Willoughby to Lake Erie and include 16 governmental, NGO and NPO organizations in a unique collaboration.
